Several species endemic to the area frequently visit, such as the Gorgeted Sunangel.
The number of species varies throughout the day.
These stunning birds, with their unique and vibrant colors, feed on sugar water but also pollinate the various floral species in our garden.
You can capture photographs as they rest on nearby branches, allowing them to remain in their natural environment.
If we’re lucky and conditions are favorable, you may even spot and photograph the Ocellated Tapaculo, which sometimes feeds on worms at a specially prepared feeder.
Most of the photographs you capture at the feeders are unique and spectacular because our mission is to showcase birds as they would naturally appear in the forest, highlighting the distinctive characteristics of each species.
The endemic species of Ecuador's cloud forest that you can observe in this reserve are what make us unique.
We take great care to create a welcoming environment for professional photography enthusiasts. However, we do not practice high-speed (multi-flash) photography, as we consider it too invasive. Similarly, we discourage the use of flash photography.
